Digital communication v voice call:

*Emails can be sent rather than voice calling the person
*People treat texts messages as convenience, which is lazier to calling somebody. People think they are communicating but the messages are very brief. They usually miss out the meaning of communicating (the art of conversation) and it turns into brief chat.
*Texting is impersonal and it is unsocialising and you can say what you want over texts, without making any real commitments.
*Arrangements are not finalised over texts and people can get away with arranging to meet and not going because they have not finalised the plans.
*You can send pictures, documents and other media through email or text messaging, whereas you cannot do this when you are talking with someone.
*However, it is easier to explain something when you are talking to someone directly than sending them a message, especially if you are writing in short hand.
